Do you mean the fringe? That is a gothic style and looks good when its cut very short. But straight across is better! As for at the back it should be the opposite shape.

it is a great hair cut. as opposed to layering you can have a nice long sleek ponytail and all the hair will stay in the ponytail and the bun will look neat too. In case you decide to grow your hair out, it will look good during the in between stage.
