Did i get a bad hair cut?

i had long hair and i was layered and u could definitely tell that there were like 3 layers and so i cut my hair shorter and i asked 4 long layers and it seems that i only have 2 layers and my hair looks boring!!! Is it the hair or am i being dramatic

If hair is layered right, you shouldn't see noticeable layers. The only way to cut 2, 3, or 4 layers would be to cut the hair straight across the back of the head in a tier affect. When layers are done correctly, the stylist holds the hair at the desired angle when they cut. So...this doesn't cut 3 or 4 layers. It layers all the hair. The hair cut is LAYERED all over. If your stylist DID give you 2 layers, she didn't do it right. I would go back and complain. When you say 2 layers, do you mean that you can see a definite line that cuts the hairstyle in half? When you go to the stylist, don't ask for a certain amount of layers, if you want more layers, ask for shorter layers. If you want less layers, ask for longer layers. That will help if you and the stylist both understand what is going on. Another good way to get what you want is to show your stylist a picture. If she messes that up, it's her own fault.

without a pic i wouldn't be able to judge.

my rule of thumb is if i don't like it, i get it fixed

i went to my byfnds aunts salon and had it fixed.

hair is important..if you don't like it call back the place and tell them you aren't happy and want them to fix it for you

When you got it done, if you didn't like it or felt disappointed by the layering, you should have said something to your stylist. They want to appease you as much as they can. Your stylist may have misconstrued what you said.

If you feel like it's not what you wanted, I would call and explain your situation to someone there, or even the person who did your hair. Most likely they'll have you come in and re-do it for free. If not, they could do it at a reduced price!

Good luck!
