I have 3 shih tzus and their hair is long and absolutely beautiful. We are always being told how gorgeous our dogs are. I grant you that keeping them that way is work and expensive but well worth it. They go to the groomers every 2 weeks. I can't see getting a long haired dog and cutting the hair. There are plenty of shorter haired breeds. I realize that their hair length does not change the fact they are sweet and loving dogs.

How should i cut my shih tzu hair?

First you should go to a professional groomer and then when the hair starts to grow long cut it the same way. Taking it to a groomer will give you an outline for future hair cuts.
