Extensions to match hair cut?

alright. i have a really choppy haircut kinda thing goin on and im getting the extensions sewn in. im not so concertned about putting them undenreath but my sides arent fully grown in due to scissor crazyness haha. i cut my own hair because hairdressers never do what i want and im fine wiht it. but, will they be able to match my hair at the sides with the extension? im still kinda confused about how they sew it in.

If you go to a good extensionist, she SHOULD be able to make them blend in perfectly...she might cut layers in the extensions to make them look more naturally. Don't worry, I had a very blunt, choppy, short hair style and my extensionist managed to blend mine in perfectly.

you can have them trim the extensions so they blend in with the texture of your cut a little more, so the stylist could make the ends a little choppy

okay lil momma, you can always find ex. to match hair. but you might have to shop around. before they sew in your hair they will braid it to the scalp witch could be extremely painful if you haven't had it done before!! best of luck!!!!!1

Here are your options. If your hair is long enough to corn row you can do that approach. This requires a specialist and just the hair alone can be several hundred dollars. If your hair is shorter pieces can be glued in small sections. This does not look natural or even good. The glue can really make a mess at the scalp area and it is very difficult to style. I only use this technique for a temp style such as a fringe if a model doesn't have one or an extreme highlight and I can't really color the models hair. I use a specific glue that comes out with one wash and I know what I am doing! You can get Great Lengths done by a Great Lengths tech and is looks fab but is very costly. The bottom line- good extensions are not cheap and cheap extensions are not good. And none of this is a home job!
